He Has trained 6200 companies in several countries who started exporting. As an advisor for international business to overseas governments, his passion lies in being a roadie mentor, traversing the globe to train businesses on export market entry and growth strategies. Alongside, he serves as a visiting faculty at esteemed management schools in India & abroad, nurturing the next generation of business leaders.
His journey as the Mentor on Road has taken him across the five continents, working on a myriad of projects in various industry verticals. From engineering to agriculture, from art & craft to food biz, from renewable energy to tourism, he had the privilege to collaborate with diverse communities and businesses worldwide.

With a Ph.D. in International Business and certifications in diamond technology, cluster development (UNIDO), and management consultancy (ICMCI, USA), Dr. Shah has built a multifaceted career that spans continents.
Based in Ahmedabad, India, with operations in the USA and Canada, he embodies a global citizen’s perspective while maintaining deep roots in his homeland. Dr. Shah began his professional journey working for multinational corporations, including Xerox, for over a decade.
In 1996, he established Global Network, a consultancy specialising in trade, technology transfer, joint ventures, and investments. Over the years, his team has facilitated international collaborations for SMEs, startups, and women-owned businesses across diverse sectors such as textiles, IT, energy, and aerospace. Under his leadership, Global Network has organised 180 trade delegations to 40 countries, bridging businesses with global markets.
In 1997, he founded the Global Network Institute (GNI) in Ahmedabad to train aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals in international trade. With 212 cohorts and 6,100 graduates from around the world, the institute stands as a beacon of excellence in export education.
During the pandemic, Dr. Shah expanded GNI’s reach through the Global Network Digital Institute, conducting 179 webinars on global trade strategies. Dr. Shah’s contributions extend beyond profit-driven ventures. In 2004, he launched Cluster Pulse, a not-for-profit initiative supporting SMEs in developing innovative, competitive, and sustainable strategies.
His work spans 102 industry clusters across 20 countries, including extensive economic development projects in Afghanistan. A relentless innovator, Dr. Shah has pioneered programs like Smart Village, transforming rural Indian communities with NRI support.
His Mentor on Road initiatives have taken him across India, the USA, Canada, and beyond, self-driving over 600,000 kilometres to mentor startups, women entrepreneurs, and SMEs. An author of three books, a frequent speaker at global forums, and a Rotarian, Dr. Shah credits his success to his family, particularly his wife, for her unwavering support.
